3 mental health apps you should know about

On behalf of NHS organisations, ORCHA tests more apps than anyone else, looking at effectiveness, safety, security and usability.  Here are three mental health apps which score highly, each designed for a specific patient group:

  • For Children - developed in collaboration with a clinical psychologist and other academics, Chill Panda, includes a stress monitor and features games, tasks and activities to help children learn how to deal with stress.
  • For teenagers - MeeTwo is a forum for teenagers to get advice from peers, but importantly all content is curated by Psychologists and moderated by Psychology undergraduates.
  • For adults - Created by a former patient and his psychologist, Companion reduces the impact of stress and anxiety using CBT techniques.
