Ward 2 were really struggling to get people in the team to attend ward meetings, only a few could attend no matter what day or time they held them on the ward!!
So acting ward sister Charley Rowson thought it would be great if everyone could all meet up virtually from the comfort of their homes via social media. Charley set up a private Facebook ward group, invited every member of the team and set a date and time for our virtual meeting.
Amazingly 75% of the team were able to attend!!!!
The team shared important information and they all really enjoyed everyone joining in and contributing to the discussion. People who were unable to attend were also able to access the information afterwards if they were busy at the time of the meeting.
They have continued to do this every month as feedback from all the team has been positive and communication between the team has really improved.
