As a part of my Quality Improvement project, I organized the International nurses Meet and Greet, 2024 at Epsom gateway and St.Heliers Hospital on the 6th and 8th of March to empower and support Internationally educated nurses. I would like to post this on our trust communication platform.

It was truly a remarkable and enriching experience to host the Meet and Greet 2024 for our international nurses at Epsom Gateway as a part of my Quality Improvement project. The event, held with the purpose of fostering camaraderie and professional connections, surpassed our expectations and left an indelible mark on all participants.

The event was supported by the ESTH Library team, Freedom to speak up, QI Recourse Team, Education department (Non-Medical), ACP practitioners and Ask Aunty project team members.

The international nurses shared their experiences and their journey during the event followed by few team-building games.

The gathering served as a unique platform for nurses from diverse backgrounds to come together, share their experiences, and forge meaningful connections. As the event unfolded, the atmosphere was charged with positivity, as the attendees engaged in insightful conversations, exchanged valuable insights, and built a network that transcended geographical boundaries.

The sense of unity and collaboration was palpable throughout the event, as nurses from different corners of the globe discovered common ground in their dedication to providing exemplary healthcare. The exchange of cultural perspectives and varied nursing practices contributed to a rich tapestry of knowledge that will undoubtedly enhance the quality of care provided by each participant in their respective healthcare settings.

The event was not only professionally rewarding but also a source of inspiration and motivation. From thought-provoking keynote addresses by esteemed figures in the nursing community to interactive workshops and team-building activities, every aspect of the Meet and Greet was meticulously curated to create an environment conducive to learning and personal growth.

I extend our heartfelt gratitude to Arlene Wellman MBE, Chief Nurse, for all the help and support provided in making this event a grand success. I am thanking all the participants and speakers who contributed to the success of this event. The Meet and Greet 2024 will undoubtedly be remembered as a pivotal moment in the professional journeys of our international nurses, as they continue to make a positive impact on global healthcare.

As we reflect on the success of this gathering, we look forward to future opportunities to bring together healthcare professionals from around the world, fostering collaboration, understanding, and excellence in the noble field of nursing.
